Texas hold-em rules are actually quite easy to pick up, and the game will provide you hours of fun once you know it. Here's how Texas hold-em rules work. Spend just a couple minutes reading and you'll be well on your way:
- Each player at the table receives 2 private cards, also known as ?pocket cards?
- There is a round of bets (you can fold at any time) and then three cards are dealt by the dealer in the middle of the table. These cards, known together as the ?flop?, are community cards that everyone in the game can use as a part of their hand
- After the flop, a 2nd round of betting takes place, and then another common card, the turn card, is dealt.
- Following a 3rd betting round, the 5th shared card, known as the river card, is dealt
- Now, there's a fourth and final round of betting, players still in the game showdown
- The best five-card hand wins.
